Indian Motorcycles has updated its line-up with the launch of the BS6-compliant Super Chief Limited in our market. The latest iteration of the motorcycle is built around a steel-tube frame and it is powered by the company’s Thunderstroke motor.

The BS6-compliant 1,890cc, twin-cylinder, air-cooled engine produces a peak torque output of 162Nm at 3,200rpm. The motor on the latest iteration of the motorcycle also benefits from a rear cylinder deactivation function.

The feature list on the motorcycle comprises a 15.1-litre fuel tank, a bobbed rear fender, dual exhaust, LED lighting, keyless ignition, and Pirelli Night Dragon tires. The electronic package includes ABS, cruise control system, and three ride modes (sport, standard, and tour). The suspension task on the motorcycle includes dual outboard preload-adjustable rear shocks at the back and 46mm forks at the front.

Apart from a BS6-compliant motor, the new Indian Super Chief Limited also benefits from the Ride Command system. The system, which can be operated through the switchgear or via the digital IPS touchscreen display, offers access to two different gauge configurations, bike information, ride data, and turn-by-turn navigation. The system can also be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth or USB to access phone information, recent calls, contacts, number pad, and text message history.
