Kia Tasman
The Tasman is Kia’s first-ever pick-up truck. It is a direct rival to the Toyota Hilux and will also compete with the Isuzu V-Cross if launched in India. It will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options.

About Kia Tasman
Model launch date:
The Kia Tasman will initially be launched in South Korea during the first half of 2025 before subsequently being introduced in Australia, Africa, and the Middle East.
Tasman Interior & Exterior Styling
- The Tasman sports vertically oriented headlights and C-shaped LED DRLs. The latter are integrated into the cladding above the front wheel arches.
- A familiar tiger nose grille is as seen on all new Kia vehicles, with a massive front bumper and hood, lending it an imposing stance.
- The USP is the cargo bed offered in four configurations — Single Decker, Double Decker, Sports Bar, and Ladder Rack.
- There are two 12.3-inch screens inside, one for the digital instrument cluster and the other being the touchscreen infotainment.
- Then, there is a large panoramic sunroof, a folding table on the centre console, wireless charging, and an eight-speaker Harmon Kardon premium audio system, among plenty of other features.
Tasman Engine & Specifications
- The petrol Kia Tasman is powered by a 2.5-litre engine producing 277bhp and 421Nm of torque.
- On the other hand, the 2.2-litre diesel unit churns out 207bhp and 441Nm of torque.
- The petrol mill comes mated to an eight-speed automatic as standard, while the diesel gets the option of either an eight-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual gearbox.
Tasman Features – Comfort & Convenience
- The Tasman’s X-Line and X-Pro variants get all-wheel-drive as standard, while it is offered as an option in the base trim.
- There are three driving modes for the AWD variants, including Eco, Smart, and Sport. Moreover, four terrain modes include Desert, Mud, Snow, and Rock.
- Furthermore, the X-Pro variant also gets an automatically engaging rear electronic locking differential and an X-Trek mode.
- Like most of the cars in Kia’s line-up, the Tasman also gets the entire ADAS suite.
Kia Tasman Safety
The crash safety ratings for the Tasman have not been revealed yet, but it is expected to receive a five-star rating soon.
